Yesterday we were at stephens lair arguing about where to eat again with icky poopy and we pretty much shot down each others choices. I had already had Thai food this week. I didnt want chinese. I didnt want mongolian. They didnt want pizza. They didnt want mexican. They didnt want salads. We did agree on milkshakes So we decide to get in the car and head downtown in search of a milkshake. We still had no idea exactly where we would end up but sometimes that is the most fun part, unless you are starving, then it sucks.
After arguing during the drive towards downtown, sweetheart d looks up burger places in portland with some Android ap and her phone tells us to try KILLER BURGER in the hollywood district. Just based on the name we were all in. The burgers did not disappoint. Every burger comes with bacon. The service was fast and friendly even though it was standing room only and the place doesnt seat many people. The prices were very reasonable. They serve beer. It was everything we needed and soon we forgot that we even wanted milkshakes. Go here. We will be going here again. peep their facebook above.

ZAB THAI
I pretty much hate trying new foods that I feel like I cant find common ground with. Although the Sweetest D loves chinese, thai and Indian foods I have avoided these foods for most of my life. I was scared and never really felt like there was something that a picky person like me could enjoy. With my new dietary demands vegatarian inspired dishes are becoming a favorite and i love a fried spicy chicken so the pdx food critic already had my choice for zab on lock.
The pdx food critic pretty much said it all about this place, sweetheart d has been trying to drag me here for weeks. But I wasnt really down with Thai food. I took the advice of the critic and tried the sampler platter and crispy basil chicken. shit was really good. Zab is just 3 blocks from the homestead so now she can drag me here any time.
Sampler Appetizer plate was amaze. I am down with the Thai food now
not jasmine but still good.
Zab Thai is a GREAT dining experience - FOUR STARS

We have been dining at Zab Thai for over two years now. We love the food, the atmosphere and the service. Our favorite dishes are the Crispy Spicy Basil Chicken and Curried Pumpkin. The dishes are made with the finest and freshest ingredients, prepared using tasty authentic Thai recipes. The mouth watering dishes are creatively and artistically presented on Zab’s elegant and whimsical lotus blossom stoneware - alongside bamboo themed flatware. The décor of the restaurant is vibrant, sophisticated and downright pleasant. If you like Thai cuisine, or if your thinking about trying it for the first time, we recommend you Try Zab Thai.

I forget what sweetheart d had but she said it was good. You get large portions so we were both able to take some home for later.

BABYLON
The movie centers around Brindsley Forde's character blue. He fronts a reggae sound system based in west London. The movie captures the trials and tribulations of young black youths in troubled London in the early eighties.

Artillery shells?
At Sweetheart D request, friday we ventured through the traffic to Washington to the blackjack fireworks store. Turns out there is a big ass tent before blackjack that icky poopy pointed out to us selling everything from a to z for your outlaw weapons grade independence day fireworks show and at cut rate prices. The sales staff reeked of alcohol, so we knew we were in the right place.
cross your fingers that we get to keep our fingers.
I have never purchased artillery shells or mortar shells much less ignited them.
its gonna be outta control.
turns out with this post i have exceeded the amount of space that blogger allows for media which is one gig. I dont know what to do now. any suggestions. Im screwed. looks like after independence day i may have to find something else to do. damn.
***update, deleted some stuff from this stupid picasa acct. going to go through over the next couple of days and del duplicate pics. that will make some space short term, still not sure what to do for long term.

Burnside Skate park
I have been here now on and off for around 4 years and I had never been to the burnside skate park.I have seen it in a couple of movies and heard countless people talk about it but never went. First of all I had no idea where it was. But since i was out and about already, I decided that today was the day. I was pressed for time after wandering around earlier this morning but I knew the general area where it was located under the bridge. So, I found it but I didnt have a lot of time so I took a few shots and took off.
I am going to go back another day.
but for now enjoy.
