Usogrow is recognized for transforming the ancient artform of Japanese calligraphy into a visual language that is both raw and contemporary while maintaining traditional elegance. His efforts have attracted companies like Vans and Upper Playground to tap him for collaborations. Inspired by punk rock and his fixation with skulls, Usugrow cut his teeth drawing bills for concerts.
