Boogies Burgers

Eagle eye D spotted the grand opening of the Boogies burgers. She also spotted the neckface installation at One Grand Gallery off burnside. So after the movie we made our way back down burnside to try Boogies burgers. Country music was blaring through the speakers. burgers were reasonably priced, juicy and they serve alcohol. strawberry shake was also good. def worth a try if you are in the area.

Foster Road may seem like a long way to go for a burger, but the location hasn’t stopped the crush of carnivores creating a near constant line here. They know it’s worth the wait. Hand-ground patties, served on house-baked brioche rolls, are meaty and dense with flavor while the ideal texture shows the touch of a light hand. The standard Foster Burger, served with tangy Foster sauce and sour house-made pickles, makes a perfect antidote for burger cravings. Real burger aficionados go for the Foster Road Pile-up, which tops a patty with cheese, bacon, pickled beet, sautéed onions, jalapeños and a fried egg. A burger isn’t a burger without fries on the side and Foster Burger's fries easily match up to the high-quality meat. More surprisingly, there is also a topnotch wedge salad adorned with herbal green goddess dressing. Cocktails are available and the beer selection is impressive, but why not go the full monty and order a chocolate malt? The over-size booths will hide any overindulgence, or snag a comfortable seat on the heated patio. Don't miss the daily lunch special---a Foster Burger, a side and a drink, all for just $8.

Skyline Restaurant

We have been searching for a place that was new to us to try. I was city searching when i came across a list of the best burger spots in Portland. One that has been dubbed the best burger in Portland more than once can be found at the Skyline Restaurant. Its tucked up and away at a small intersection in the hills around downtown Portland. Adventurous D had heard it was good so we called up Ickypoopy and made it happen.
The place is quaint and small. Authentic diner with drive in service. The place was packed. The wait staff was patient. I can never make up my mind.I had the 3 cheese burger and Sweet had the bar b q bacon cheese burger. ickypoopy had a Skyline cheese burger.  They are big and juice, worth every penny.
The shakes are beyond delicious...beyond delicious. Sweet D had the white chocolate covered cherries shake (i am not allowed to have that) . I had a sip and it was like the bright, soothing, calming, comforting light that leads to heaven ...or something.

In Short – Skyline's nostalgic '50s-style decor of Formica counters and Naugahyde booths and bustling, no-nonsense service are true to its "burger and shake" drive-in heritage. Families and young couples come for its signature dish, the Skyline, a lean burger towering with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. The fries and onion rings are crisp, but the real draw is the malted milkshakes in hot fudge and mint chip. More fountain specials include the sexy butterscotch sundae.

aftermath.
could not finish whole burger. To much food.
