4th and Couch

Walking up 4th yesterday and made some new friends on the way to backspace.

First Thursday 090210

Yesterday was first Thursday again. So I did what we always do around this time, i went to the tube to get some pre-game on and then i picked up sweet d from work and we headed back downtown. The hung far low sign was being unveiled which added to the excitement and congestion with streets being blocked off and what not. Violent D was tired after work so we only went to our usual spots and opted not to venture down 4th or 5th street. We took it easy and we only went to Upper Playground, Compound and the Goldsmith Blocks artist lofts cuz they have a free do it yourself keg and Violent D loves free beer and or wine. she enjoyed a free beer at each venue, i wish that i drank beer.
The opening at Upper Playground for PEZ was good and a couple of the people that were displayed in the photographs were in attendance. I got to meet some good people and get a couple of pics of them. All in all a great night although we stopped short. Violent D and i were getting tired and hungry so we ate good in the neighborhood and put ourselves to bed. Above is Don...in the streets though he says his name is CRAZY DON. So if you see him, act accordingly. Don was cool as fuck. I spotted his pic at the top of the wall and asked him if i could get a pic of him standing underneath it and he says," fuck yeah, but lets do it right", so he takes off his shirt and gives me metal hands (not shown) and rocks out this pose just for me. Don aka crazy don if you see him in the streets is cool as fuck.




Dudes started working on this mural last night. I stopped by the artists loft this morning and its still not done but dudes were cool enough to let me take pics of it as they worked on it last night. Dude gave me an eta but must have fallen behind. Those free beers can side rail any project.

First Thursday 080510

Yesterday was another first Thursday. The seeds opted out of this one due to all the over stimulation that was last Thursday. This worked in our favor as it allowed us to make this an evening filled with adult beverages but that would come back to haunt us later. For this trip the group consisted of me, Sweet D and Ar. Drunk D and Rr are bff so that allowed me to get all up in the madness and snap more pics while they chatted it up about whatever broads talk about and sucked down free wine n stuff. We started our outing at the tube for 2 dollar dranks and made our way down to 5th and couch to start the first Thursday art openings. Here is only a portion of the pics that I took and I also have some video that will go up next.
