Stairway to Cape Meares beach

This stair way down to the beach is super gnarly. We spotted this on our way to the next cape which should have been Cape Kiwanda.  This is a turn out after you leave Cape Meares on the right side, if you are driving to fast you can  miss it. After walking down and walking up i was flat out tired. We decided to leave the other capes for another outing.

Cape Meares

There are so many things here in Oregon that I have yet to see. So with a rare Saturday off  Sweetheart baby boy incubater D and I wanted to head out to the coast. This time we wanted to go to a spot that I have not been to and Sweet D suggested the light house at cape meares. lighthouse, cape, hiking.... I was all in.
We did not make the 3 capes drive. We went to cape meares then we found this gnarly staircase that takes you down into the bay, then we went to the Octopus Tree. It was a fun time to spend a Saturday with my babies on a field trip.

Walking

I had to park a couple of blocks away from the tube the other day so here are some pics on my way in to get my killing time screwdriver till Sweet D gets off work.
